Portrait of a gull

The gull eyed me for a bit as I grabbed a camera before totally ignoring me again. There was about a meter and a half between me and it. Half a dozen shots and the gull took of.

En Profile:

and en face:

gullie (2)

and finally the gull tells me in no uncertain turns to take the camera and myself somewhere else:

gullie (4)

and having said that the gull left with a screeching laugh to land on the hand of a guy feeding swans down the dock. The guy freaking shook the gull of himself and I haven`t seen that gull since. Neither my p&s camera nor I were up to the speed of this final short episode.

  1. Rarely do I resort to word abbreviations, but OMG! The last photo is making me LOL :)
    Great shots Joseph!

  2. the third one is fantastic! :)

  3. I roared out loud with this one, Joseph! I don’t know what’s better; that crazy gull and all his antics or your terrific writing that brings the whole scene to life!!

  4. Just a spontaneous one minute shoot Mr Toad, before the bird flew of and landed on this totally unsuspecting fellow who pretty near jumped into the ocean. All good fun and a great way to start the day. I am glad you appreciate this one.

  5. Awesome shots Joseph – this really made me smile :)

  6. These are just amazing! He didn’t approve obviously :-D
